| 英文描述 | This disease is seen in semi-desert areas of southern Africa, associated with migrating game, especially wildebeest. This is an ocular and vascular myiasis due to larve of the GEDOELSTIA species of Oestridae, which lay eggs on the faces of sheep and occasionally other species. The ocular form is most common and can be followed by rupture of the eyeball. Nervous signs are sometimes seen. Dx by identification of the larvae. |
